The problem with Size 24 Hooks is that they all straightened out when you have A 24 inch fish at the end of your line, and balancing a hook that strong enough, but still allows you to tie thin enough proportions for a true midge pupa is insanely difficult, this hook meets that need impeccably I’ve used Daiichi hooks, Dai Riki, tiemco, And more Unbranded hooks Then I can count, and these remain by far the best available- Economically it’s the best option out there
What can I say? I ordered two packs of dry fly hooks, one each of #14 and #16. That is what was delivered. I couldn’t tell you if they are any stronger or better than other hooks, that would require me to hook something. Thus far that hasn’t happened. I do remain optimistic.
I hope that Wholesale Fly will speed up the processing time to offset the laggard USPS.
In world of fly tying hook prices are expensive for name brand and if looking to save money these are ticket.
Your bead head jig hooks will be great, I will ty some buggers and crappie bodies with them. I hope my eyes are still good enough to make flies with the #16 hooks I bought. Thank you for the materials you sale.
Just did a week long trip with lots of dries using these hooks. No problems. Big fish, hooks held, no lost fish due to hook failures, no rusting after a week of being wet in the fly box. Perfect hooks.
